What We Know About Characters
Tiny Eden's cast lives in your apartment block: neighbours ask for fresh produce, buy your meals and anchor the reputation economy (official Steam description, checked Aug 13, 2026). The developers have not published character bios, but the July 2026 demo's story quests introduce a named cast — everything below comes from demo gameplay footage (July–August 2026 builds), cross-checked across three creators' playthroughs plus written player reviews.
Spelling note: names marked ✻ are transcribed from game audio and on-screen text in footage; we print the most consistent reading and will confirm exact in-game spellings in our own hands-on. No invented names, ever.
Key Characters
| Character | Role | What we know |
|---|---|---|
| Joy | The player character | A fixed-name protagonist: a researcher whose lab lost its funding, restarting life in a Garden Tower apartment. Confirmed in footage and by player reviews (one demo review even asks for a rename option instead of Joy). |
| Holly | Your best friend, the previous tenant | Off on a remote expedition with "zero signal" — her emails drive the story, from the apartment handover to the lab subplot. It is her old apartment you move into. |
| NG-1 ✻ | Home-assistant robot | Lives in your cabinet, registers you as the new resident, hands out tutorial tasks, lists your produce for sale ("my grandfather was a trading bot") and later floats the idea of teaching agri-drones by watching you garden. |
| Bimbus | The cat | Adopted from the tower roof in an early story beat (buy a cat bed, $10). Named consistently in footage and in written demo reviews — the community favourite. |
| Jared ✻ | DIY club contact | Runs the club's hands-on workshops for tower residents (repairs, upcycling, crafting) and takes your first produce and meal orders in the Atrium. The club is also your route to the second-room key — and the lab. |
| Nyx ✻ | Lab intern | Joined the beneficial-insects research centre right as Joy was let go; helps you retrieve your research database through slightly unofficial channels in the demo's best side-story. |
| Morrison | The funder (mentioned only) | "That jerk Morrison" pulled the lab's funding, per Holly's first email — unseen so far, but the reason the whole story happens. |
