Tiny Eden Cooking

40+ recipes, reputation unlocks and the market — how harvest becomes income.

Facts last checked: August 28, 2026 · full re-check at launch on September 7, 2026

Pre-release coverage: everything below comes from official store pages, developer announcements and demo hands-on. We re-verify every fact at launch on September 7, 2026.

Cooking Overview

Cooking is the bridge between your garden and the city: crops are harvested, processed into food, and sold for money and reputation — money is reinvested, reputation unlocks new opportunities (official developer FAQ, May 2026). You cannot skip cooking entirely, but the developers say it is deliberately kept simple. In version 1.0 only cooked dishes can be sold — raw crops and seedlings cannot (may change post-launch, per the same FAQ).

Fact-check note: the Steam store blurb says you can "create your own signature recipes", while the developers' own FAQ answers "can you make custom recipes?" with a flat no — the flexible-ingredient system explains the looser store wording. Demo footage (July 2026 build) sides with the FAQ: cooking runs off a fixed cookbook, recipes arrive via reputation unlocks and shop purchases, and no custom-recipe option appears anywhere in the UI. We follow the FAQ and will re-verify at launch.

What the Current Demo Shows

"At least 40 recipes" is the full game FAQ. Demo playthroughs use a much shorter cookbook. Names below are from July 2026 footage (on-screen plus one long auto-captioned session) — not an official recipe list:

RecipeHow it showed up in demo playthroughs
Vitamin SaladUnlocks after the first Atrium strawberry order; 1 pak choi + 4 strawberries in footage; first sale $20
Simple Healthy MixAfter peas: 6 strawberries + 3 pea shoots
Cornflower TeaBuyable in the shop; two cornflowers in the long session
Strawberry JamBuyable; orders asked for 3 jars
Herb bean stew / soupBuyable; beans + herbs
Chamomile teaBuyable after chamomile seeds appear
Caramelized onion (jam in earlier footage)Lab project; stalled when onions overheated
Bean stir fryLab project; needs onions
Spring green saladRadish + pea + parsley in the long session
Summer saladCookable after tomato / cauliflower unlocked
Garden salad / dishes calling for lettuce or pepperIn the book; that session could not buy the matching seeds

The robot line in that session was "just follow the recipe" — open the book and start; there is no custom-recipe flow. Demo Atrium still lets you sell raw strawberries at about $1, far below cooked dishes. Version 1.0 FAQ says only cooked dishes will sell; we keep both facts and re-check at launch.

At least 40, unlocking as your reputation grows (official developer FAQ, May 2026).

Not in version 1.0 — only cooked dishes can be sold. The developers are open to adding raw-crop or seedling sales later (official developer FAQ, May 2026).
